BROKEN BONES was born on the mats of Tokyo, driven by founder Masafumi Watanabe’s vision to create a brand for the bold—those who live for both movement and creativity. Rooted in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, BROKEN BONES started as a community for athletes and rebels at heart, evolving over the years through collaborations with artists, photographers, and designers who share our fearless ethos.

 In 2022, Masafumi crossed paths with Oscar, a fellow BJJ enthusiast fresh off a move from Stockholm to Tokyo. What started as training partners at their neighbourhood dojo quickly turned into a partnership built on shared passions and ambition.

 Fast forward to January 2025, and BROKEN BONES is stepping beyond Japan, bringing their high-quality kimonos, and apparel designs to a global audience. BROKEN BONES is here to represent what’s real— raw, unapologetic, and true to the creative and athletic culture.
